The Bookmarked Living Story
Long before social media, mood boards, and online shopping, I was the child who disappeared into stories. Books were adventures, escapes, companions, and windows into lives and places far beyond my own. I loved wandering through the English countryside with beloved characters, spending summers on windswept beaches, imagining cozy cottages, elegant city apartments, and wardrobes that seemed to tell stories all their own.
As I grew older, my love of reading never faded. If anything, it expanded. I began noticing something beyond the plot itself. The atmosphere, the setting, the colors. The homes, the meals, the clothing, the traditions, and the little details that made each story feel so real. I found myself wanting to linger there long after I had turned the final page.
Bookmarked Living grew from that love.
Here, books become more than something we read. They become inspiration for the way we live. A Cape Cod summer from one novel might inspire a striped sweater, a weathered dining table, and a lobster dinner shared with friends. An English countryside romance might lead to muddy garden boots, floral wallpaper, and a vase of freshly cut flowers. A cozy lake house story might inspire a reading nook, a charcuterie board, and a weekend spent slowing down.
Think of it as finding inspiration between the pages. Bringing a little bit of the magic of fiction into everyday life. Because some stories are simply too beautiful to leave behind.
